This course is designed to integrate class room activities with the laboratory experience in propulsion. It includes Ramjet operation, gas turbine operation, oil burner demonstrator, liquid rocket motor and other equipment.   Ramjet operation is studied in detail.   Velocity curve is developed.   Thrust, temperature and pressure measurements are carried out.   Gas turbine operation and its performance parameters are studied. Oil burner demonstrator is operated and parameters are measured.   Liquid rocket motor test stand and equipment is studied in detail. This course acts as supplement to the theory courses in propulsion.

RELEVANT PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The designed course will target the following PLOs:
▪ PLO-01 Engineering Knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problem
▪ PLO-05 Modern Tool Usage: An ability to create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modelling, to complex engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
1. CLO-01 familiarize with the different propulsion equipment in the lab, and follows safe working habits in the lab and reacts where required

2. CLO-02 Get hands on experience on lab equipment dismantling, assembly, build up, calibration and measure practically different parameter readings independently or in a collaborative group environment.
